Rules – Ocala Softball

🥎 Important Notice for All Ocala Softball Players

Before stepping onto the field this season, all players must be aware of our key requirements:

Waivers & Registration:

Every player must complete and sign the “Ocala Recreation & Park’s Softball Program Waiver” before participating in any games
Players must be 18+ and have a photo ID with them at all times
All players need to be on an official team roster with their printed name, address, and contact information

Key League Rules:

Teams play on designated nights: Tuesday (Competitive), Wednesday (CO-ED), or Thursday (Recreational)
Games are 55 minutes or 7 innings, whichever comes first
Zero tolerance policy for alcohol, illegal drugs, or inappropriate behavior
Teams must have matching shirt colors
Maximum roster size is 20 players
Teams play two games each night, weather permitting
Run rules apply: 15 after 3 innings, 12 after 4 innings, 10 after 5 innings

Safety First:

Softball is acknowledged as a potentially dangerous sport – play at your own risk
All injuries, no matter how minor, must be reported to the site director by noon the following day
Protective equipment and pitching screens are mandatory
Team captains are responsible for player and spectator conduct

Remember: No player will be allowed to participate without a completed and signed waiver. This is for everyone’s safety and protection.
